US magazine journalists Super Street went to Japan, where, in the city of Saitama is Fat Five Racing — workshop of one of the world's most renowned drifters, D1 GP participant, Formula Drift and Formula D Asia Daigo Saito.
Glorious Japanese caught at the time of preparation of the unique Lamborghini Murcielago for drift — considerably altered the Italian sports car racing debut in D1GP Tokyo Drift Odaiba on October 24–25 last year.
A small room — it's a real temple, as Daigo in his monastery keeps all the trophies won by them since the start of performances in the drift, and a place of honor takes its famous sedan Toyota JZX100 Chaser.
Nearby — Racing Lexus SC430 and many drift cars not only as a memory of the past, but also as vehicles for those who want to rent a car to participate in the Formula D Japan, as it was with an American Matt by Field eve of the stage at the legendary Fuji Speedway.
But if in the monastery Saito creates a feeling of the temple, the outside — it's a cemetery.
The area packed with numerous cars of different brands and models in a totally dissimilar condition: some look like just descended from the conveyor, the other — as the survivors of a nuclear war; some cars still have a chance to move on their own, and some parts have become donors. However, spare components and assemblies that work, in working order, too, so full of nearby Fat Five Racing and places Daigo creativity.
All this does not prevent the Japanese not only a brilliant act drift alone and help their fellow competitors, but also contributes to the birth of unusual projects like the Nissan GT-R, or the same Lamborghini Murcielago, and spectacular videos paired with Vaughn Gittin Jr. and his Ford Mustang RTR in the territory of the abandoned «Russian village» near Niigata.
Not only that Daigo was generous and allowed to look at the Fat Five Racing from the inside, so even at all Saito fans have the opportunity to see how the race for the pair filmed the movie Monster Energy.
