Looks like too many drivers want to check their maximum speed in the autobahns. So the German government wants to take money for using the road with no speed limit.
Many drivers are fond of highways with no speed limit, where they can push the gas pedal into the floor. It seems obvious that money can be earned on these drivers. Eurocomission reacted with delay: “All details should be researched and discussed before taking the final decision”
According to new rules, since 2016 road payment will be taken from both — German citizens and non-citizens. Citizens will pay 88 Euros per year and road taxes will be reduced for them. And aliens will have to pay 10 Euros for 10 days, 20 Euros for two months and price for the year is not defined yet.
Well, this price looks not very high if you are going to the Nordschleife by your own car.
