Well, thanks to the zeal of the pilot and part-time editor of Sport Auto Christian Gebhard got into the story and 220-horsepower Renault Clio set a record for the B-segment hatchbacks.
The same day, the best time tried to show the MINI John Cooper Works (8 minutes 35 seconds), Opel Corsa OPC (8 minutes 40 seconds) and the Audi S1 (8 minutes 41 seconds). Behind the wheel was the same pilot.
The previous record (8 minutes, 59 seconds) belonged to the standard version of the Clio RS. Meanwhile, an absolute record for front-drive hatchback owned 310-horsepower Honda Civic Type R of the last generation, who drove the fastest lap in 7 minutes 50.63 seconds.
