All Acura’s innovations have been concentrated in the all-new luxury sedan TLX, which is ready to go on sale this August. The premiere will be available with two types of engines: 4-cylinder 2.4-litre i-VTEC delivering 206 hp and 3.5-litre i-VTEC VCM V6 tuned to produce 290 hp. The cars will feature new transmission — 8-speed automatic gearbox DCT with dual clutch and 9-speed automatic gearbox.
This is not the end of the list of innovations. Demanding customers can take advantage of the all-wheel drive SH-AWD system, Precision All-Wheel Steer (P-AWS), Variable Cylinder Management (VCM), Jewel Eyе LED lights, and Agile Handling Assist.
Acura is coming into the market of luxury sedans rather aggressively. The amount of sales will show whether it is able to put competitive pressure on other respected authorities.
