Tragedy almost completed one of the races on the quarter-mile race as part of the festival Haltech World Cup Finals — Import vs. Domestic.
Starts held from 4 to 6 November on the track Maryland International Raceway, and, as the name implies, the main «chip» of races was the opposition of American cars and their rivals from other countries.
In one of the races turbocharged hatchback Honda Civic did not hold back in his lane at the start of braking and hit a bump.
Unfortunately, after the collision, the car was thrown into the air, where it turned and flew on the roof to the opposite side of the drag strip...
The car turned out to be severely damaged, but the pilot survived — According to the organizers, the driver «escaped» a broken light and fractures, and his life is out of danger.
