Several prototypes of the revived Lagonda brand, which is now being actively developed by Aston Martin, have been spied in the city streets.
The initial plan was to produce a luxurious Lagonda SUV; however, it has failed. As reported by the Car magazine, the Q by Aston Martin division created a sedan based on the platform of the Aston Martin Rapide S. Under the bonnet, it carries a 12-cylinder 6.0-litre engine delivering 600 hp. The sedan is equipped with an upgraded eight-speed automatic transmission.
Of course, there is no word yet about the technical specs. The Rapide S fitted with a six-speed automatic gearbox sprints to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds. It is quite within reason to suggest that the customised premiere is expected to be faster.
The car is scheduled to arrive in the end of 2014. It will be a limited edition of less than 100 sedans.
