Porsche has yielded to pressure from BMW, Audi and Mercedes-Benz, who are working hard developing a cross-coupé, and is also getting ready to surprise its fans. Porsche Cayenne has ended up in the crosshairs and will soon be turned into a coupé.

As reported by Auto Express, it will be a new model in Porsche’s lineup. Under the bonnet, the new Cayenne will carry petrol- and diesel-powered 6- and 8-cylinder engines. Its exterior will change — it will feature a more dynamic silhouette with the 911-style lines. It will have a smaller luggage compartment and there will be enough room only for two passengers. The engineers will readjust the suspension, widen the track, and lower down the gravity centre. Most probably, handling will become even better.

When should we expect the premiere to arrive? According to auto.vesti.ru, it might happen only after the debut of the next generation Cayenne sometime around 2017. Well, it might arrive a bit earlier, as Cayenne will be updated in 2015.
