There is a new boost of power coming in XS size — a diesel MINI Cooper SD. It will become the most powerful car in the lineup.
However, sure enough, it is still not going to sprint to 100 km/h in 3 seconds. The car is fitted with a 2-litre four-cylinder engine delivering 170 hp and 369 Nm of torque. It means it will take the new MINI 7.3 seconds to reach the speed of 100 km/h. Well, if it is equipped with a six-speed automatic instead of manual transmission, there will be another 0.1 sec added. But you have to keep in mind its moderate consumption of 4.1 litres per 100 km. And there is plenty of torque…
The “boosted” John Cooper Works version will deliver 231 hp. Meanwhile, those who love turtle racing, prefer economy and simplicity, and don’t care much about the speed, might turn their eyes to the recently debuted One First model fitted with a 75-hp, 1.2-litre, and three-cylinder turbocharged engine.
