It is likely that the iconic sports car instead of boxer «six» will get more compact and powerful engine.
Now under the hood of the Carrera — the most affordable of the 911 — is 3.4-liter engine, while version S — 3,8-liter.
According to Autobild, the new engine, which will be on both versions will be the same, but will at the same time to develop a different power: a base — 370 l. s., on the S-version — 420 l. with. In other words, the sports car will get a 20-strong increase, while the S version will have 500 Nm of torque.
