On July 19, Moscow hosted a regular traditional rally of classic cars «Night Moscow», which for many years organizing Russian Classic Car Club. Like most of the retro-rally, «Night Moscow» is not on the speed and the accuracy of the assignments and regularity, it is important that each crew finished as close as possible to his own time, and at the same time marked at all control points of time.

All control points of time are located within the center of Moscow, and navigators in carriages get your hands on a real rally legend, which must still be able to understand.




Start the rally was given by the hotel «Radisson Royal Hotel Moscow» (the historical name — hotel Ukraine) at 19.30 on Saturday evening, but the participants gathered here much earlier and put their cars on display spectators and passers-by. Warm summer evening, and the good weather contributed to the fact that by the time the start of a lot of people gathered here — both those who have come specifically to see the old days, and those who are just passing by and could not resist the beauty.

And the beauty here and really had enough — more than a century of car (for example, Renault EF 1914) to relatively young (70-ies), the Europeans and Americans to the Soviet classics like prekrasnokryloy Gulls (GAZ-14), classical Volga (GAZ 21), wins (GAZ M-20) and others.




All vehicles are divided into three categories depending on their date of issue: 1st age category: cars until 1949 release (inclusive); 2nd age category: cars from 1950 to 1973 (inclusive); 3rd age category: cars from 1974 to 1979 (inclusive). A huge car park was crowded almost all the rare and collectible cars, which included Cadillac Coupe, 1928 onwards, Peugeot 203C, 1949 onwards, Chrysler Town & Country Convertible, 1949 onwards, Jaguar XK 140 1956 GV, Volvo 1800 S, 1964 onwards, Ford Trunderbird, 1961 onwards, Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud, 1965 onwards

By the way, in addition to the awards for the victory in the rally were played and other prizes — for example, for the best images presented in suits. This year the whole dress code is built around pop music events of the 20th century, so it is not surprising to see among the participants of the famous quartet ABBA, or a group of ZZ-Top, or Elvis Presley...
