The most boosted version of the Mercedes-Benz ML Coupe crossover tuned by AMG, which has not been unveiled to the public yet, was sighted on test. The company has plans to reveal the premiere in March 2015 at the Geneva Motor Show, though it was originally planned to show it in January 2015 at the Detroit Auto Show.
What concerns its technical specs, the AMG version of the ML Coupé will be fitted with 5.5-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine used in the S63 coupé delivering 577 hp and 900 Nm of torque. As reported by Autoblog, this type of engine was also used in the ML 63 AMG SUV fitted with the AMG Performance sport package.
Even the appearance of the boosted version is different from the standard model. The concept features larger air intakes, sport side skirts, large black wheels, a spoiler on the roof, and two paired exhaust pipes at the rear.
The ML Coupé will be assembled at the plant in the United States alongside with the C-Class, GL SUV, and R-Class intended for the Chinese market. The premiere will go on sale in the third quarter of 2015. Its major rival is the BMW X6.
