Sergio Marchionne says that the entire managing group of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is at a loss and completely disagree with the valuation of Ferrari presented by the Wall Street analysts.
According to Marchionne, Wall Street analysts value the company in the range from 4.6 to 7.5 billion dollars, making a remark that after selling more than 10,000 units the profit will increase. Thank you, Captain Obvious. However, right now, the annual production number is 7,000 vehicles and the company is not going to produce more in order for the cars to stay exclusive.
As reported by Detroit Free Press, Ferrari’s management value their company at 15 billion dollars. Nevertheless, they do not take offense at the analysts, as the company is not for sale in any case.
The company has announced its business-plan recently, according to which it is going to produce a new Ferrari model each year within the next four years. Four years after the launch of the new model it will be followed by an upgraded version. In this case, there will be some kind of circulation of Ferrari vehicles on the market. No one was speaking about increasing the production rates; however, it is possible that the company is eager to increase its sales rates.
