Quite recently, Aston Martin has received a loan of €197 million. Now the company can get back to what it does best — building cars. And here come the first tests of the new Aston Martin sedan, which should pit against Mercedes-Benz S-Class.

The new sedan is likely to be called the Lagonda. As reported by Car Magazine, the premiere is being developed by a branch of the British car manufacturer Q. Aston Martin’s Q branch deals with customising and building special versions of the supercars. It means, it is going to be not just a regular sedan, but a truly fast, powerful, and comfortable sports car.

The premiere will feature carbon fibre body panels and a bigger wheelbase than the one of a 3-metre Rapide. The car will be equipped with 5.9-litre 12-cylinder engine delivering 550 hp. However, this information has not been confirmed yet, so the funds still might be channelled to other projects. Especially considering that Aston Martin and Daimler have recently signed an agreement to work collectively on designing new engines.
