The new Land Rover Discovery Vision Concept will be unveiled at the New York Auto Show. It will be used to build the new generation of Discovery. According to the official video, which has recently appeared on the Internet, the SUV is not going to feature any revolutionary changes though its exterior will become more dynamic. Pure democracy is expected in the cabin — the seats will have various transformation variants (they fold and have a great number of adjustments including the lateral ones).
Not a lot of details about the technical specifications yet. Production Discovery will be built on the same aluminium platform as the Range Rover lineup. If you watch closely the Discovery teaser, you might also notice the automatic gearbox. Supposedly, it will be eight-speed automatic.
The representatives of the zr.ru web site assume that Discovery will be fitted with boosted petrol and diesel four-cylinder turbocharged Ingenium-series engines of different capacity. Land Rover made an official promise to equip the car with new technologies which would most probably concern the vehicle’s interface.
At this rate the new series of the Discovery version will be revealed at the world auto shows by the next year already. Meanwhile, we can just settle for the details of the new concept which are due to appear by the end of April.
