The Polish company Arrinera Automotive has plans to reveal its sports car Hussarya which was developed back in 2011 but its exterior had to go through drastic changes after negative reviews by mass media. It covers the ¼ mile distance in 11 seconds and accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds.
The Polish sports car will be fitted with the General Motors-sourced 6.2-litre supercharged V8 engine delivering 650 hp and 820 Nm of torque. The previously planned Graziano sequential gearbox will be replaced by the automated-manual transmission from Italy’s CIMA. Hussarya uses the chassis made of steel which was developed in cooperation with Lee Noble, the British founder of the supercar manufacturing company Noble Automotive. Experts from different countries work in the interest of Polish sports car industry. The weight of the car is approximately 1,315 kg with body panels made of composite materials, including optional carbon fibre and Kevlar panels.
According to the representatives of the carmaker, the vehicle will be unveiled quite soon (no word about the exact date yet) and the company plans to produce 100 examples per year. By the way, the sports car was named after the cavalry which was taking part in battles from the 16th to the middle of the 18th century. All in all, it’s a serious project which should take responsibility for itself on the proper national level. The price of the car with a fabled historic name should be about $160,000.
