Starting from March 26th the traffic police officers will launch the public awareness campaign aimed at the owners of dirty vehicles. As reported by the “Russian newspaper”, the Moscow City Transport Department together with the State Road Traffic Safety Inspectorate launch the city month's Clean Car Campaign.

Apart from public awareness efforts, according to the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, the owners of the cars with illegible license plates (including the dirty ones) might be fined 500 RUB.

“It’s strange to see a person throwing rubbish out of his car in his own city. It’s also strange to see dirty cars in the streets of Moscow. I would like to encourage Moscow citizens to wash their cars. It will be much more pleasant to drive in the streets of the capital”, stated the Head of the Department for Transport and Road Infrastructure Development Maxim Liksutov.

So now you have a chance to demonstrate your diplomacy skills or maybe it’s time to check the legibility of the license plate more often.
