Ferrari reveals California T engine specs

Ferrari has officially revealed the technical specifications of the new engine built for the Ferrari California.

Ferrari has officially revealed the technical specifications of the new engine built for the Ferrari California. Let us remind that for the last 20 years Ferrari has been producing only really powerful high-rpm naturally aspirated engines. However, the modern environmental standards and high level of competition forced the Italian engineers to create something new. Here are a few details about the motor. It’s an 8-cylinder V-shaped twin-turbocharged 3.9-litre (3.855 l) powerplant delivering 560 hp and 755 Nm of torque! As stated by Ferrari representatives, it’s the first turbocharged engine having absolutely no turbo lag. They say it is achieved due to using equal-length exhaust manifolds which, coupled with special twin-scroll turbines, demonstrate instant throttle response. It is also reported that the new engine sits 40 mm lower than in the previous California ensuring better car handling. Well, the engine promises to be rather interesting, let’s wait for its first tests.
