We have already told you about the new supercar manufacturing company in Great Britain founded by David Brown and therefore called David Brown Automotive. By that time the only thing we knew was the code name of the car — Project Judi. And now, a few weeks before the official premiere of the first model which will take place in April at the Top Marques in Monaco, we found out a few details about Judi. The chassis and engine will be taken from the Jaguar.
David Brown Automotive decided to combine different epochs and added retro bodywork designed in the style of the 1960s to the extremely modern chassis and engine from the Jaguar XKR, which had caused quite a stir not so long ago. The bodywork will be hand-made out of aluminium. Judi will be fitted with a 5-litre 8-cylinder Jaguar XKR engine producing 510 hp and accelerating up to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. Its top speed will be about 250 km/h. Suspension and six-speed automatic transmission will be also taken from the Jaguar.
David Brown Automotive will start with an initial run of 50 units with further increase up to 200 units per year.
