At the upcoming Geneva Motor Show the German auto group will unveil the newest version of its top luxury coupé. But the company’s marketing experts started stirring up interest of mass media and potential customers well in advance. This is how the official photo of the all-new car became available online. No one expected a breakthrough and there was none. Its exterior is almost identical to the S-Class Coupé Concept which had been already revealed at Frankfurt.
In measurements, the new cope become 68 mm shorter and 28 mm wider, than previous CL cope. At the first time Mercedes-Benz will offer the only version — S500 with 4,7 litre V8 engine producing 455 hp. Transmission 4matic (four wheel drive) and 9-gears automatic gearbox. If all the rumours and speculations are correct, the new coupé will be equipped with four types of engines. Two V8s and two V12s. Its top version with the AMG tuning studio name should be fitted with a 630-hp powertrain borrowed from an S 65 AMG.
Head lights could be optionally equipped with 47 Swarovski crystals for each, air ionisation system installed, each seat have massage function, music will be played by Burmester system. For active driving system Magic Body Control, which tilts the car body for faster driving in turns (like motobiker do).
The new S-Class Coupé is expected to go on sale in the third quarter of this year. No price yet.
