As reported by Reuters, though the new crossover from Porsche has not been yet delivered to the distributors and they are still going to launch its sales later this year but the carmaker is already thinking about increasing the production of this compact SUV.
To be more precise in numbers, the company considers increasing the production of Macans up to 80,000 vehicles per year instead of the currently planned level of 50,000. According to the calculations made by Porsche, by 2018 the company will be able to deliver 200,000 Macans to customers. Last year was really successful for the premium class carmaker — more than 160,000 cars were sold.
What concerns the new vehicle referred to above, Porsche Macan, which was unveiled about two months ago, it will be equipped either with a 3-litre 340-hp petrol-fuelled engine or a 258-hp diesel powerplant. The top trimmed version of the new crossover is powered by a 400-hp V6 which allows accelerating up to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds and reaching 262 km/h of top speed. Porsche Macan prices in Russia will start at RUB 2,550,000 (€54,500).
