Lincoln’s new-generation Navigator will be demonstrated during the auto show held in Chicago. But some of its specifications have already been revealed. The exterior of this “liner of highways” now looks different. The front part of the vehicle was redesigned. They also changed the chrome-plated decorations, rear lights and wheel disks.
The car’s interior was also redesigned. They used materials of higher quality, leather upholstery and real wood trim. According to the current fashion trends, the engine is started by pushing the button and the passengers will be entertained by the new infotainment system MyLincoln Touch.
And the pleasant thing is that the company did not stop at changing the design of the vehicle. The main upgrades are much less visible to the eye. They concern the technical specifications. The good old 5.4-litre V8 engine producing a deep-chest roaring sound was replaced by the new 3.5-litre twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6. There is no information regarding the power and torque of the new engine but rumour has it that it is going to produce more than 370 hp.
The customers will be able to choose between the all-wheel and rear-wheel drive. For more comfort the suspension of the new Navigator will feature the Continuously Controlled Damping system. It is able to adjust the suspension needs depending on surface conditions and make the ride more comfortable.
