Journalists from the German car edition SportAuto conducted tests of the new Audi RS6. This magazine is famous for performing independent dynamometer and Nordschleife tests. Let us remind that the new RS6 is fitted with 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbocharged engine. The manufacturers claim it to produce 560 hp with the maximum torque of 700 Nm. The car is equipped with ceramic brakes and the journalists noted that their performance on the track is up to the mark but during ‘primitive’ 200–0 km/h tests they were losing points to similar competitor’s systems. In spite of a powerful engine and great brakes, the Nordschleife time was not that impressive. According to SportAuto journalists, it has to do with big weight of the car and understeer. The final results turned out to be unfavourable — the car scored fewer points than its competitors (M5, Panamera, E63 AMG).
