Maserati pulls no rabbits out of hat

Like many other companies, Maserati decided to ‘warm up’ the audience before the Los Angeles Auto Show by releasing the first teaser of the GTS. Too bad that it features nothing new except for the trident.

To celebrate its centenary, Maserati will unveil the facelifted Quattroporte in the S Q4 and GTS versions and the Ghibli at the Los Angeles Auto Show. But that’s not all. The GranTurismo MC Centennial Edition convertible and several other retro cars will be served for dessert. Apparently, the company is trying to win all hearts with a big number of lacquer cars rather than developing all-new concepts.

As for the pictures of the GTS, the car doesn’t seem to feature many exterior changes. It has red accents on the wheels and a revised trident logo on the radiator grille. Under the bonnet, it still carries a 530-hp V8 engine.

Interior changes are not drastic either. On the inside, one can find red leather upholstery, contrast stitching and Black Piano lacquered trim. Perhaps, these changes were introduced by the designers to impress the true connoisseurs of art. For those more down-to-earth there is a Wifi hotspot available.

As for the Ghibli, the 2015 model will add Bluetooth and new navigation as standard.
