The resurrected Jeep Grand Wagoneer is expected to become the most luxurious car in the company’s history. The SUV will feature 3-row seating. The company is likely to use petrol-powered V6 or V8 engines delivering 300 or 365 hp, mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission.

Jeep chief told Autocar that the company does not fear the competition with the upcoming Maserati Levante, another SUV within the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles group. Despite using a common platform, the models will be targeted towards different customers.

The Wagoneer was initially supposed to arrive in 2015; however, now that the SUV has been refocused to enter the premium segment, the company will need more time to launch its production.
