The Jaguar AWD F-Type will make its debut in the end of November but, ahead of its release date, the company officials have already reported the all-wheel drive version to be more agile than the rear-wheel drive modification.
Quite recently, Jaguar has officially announced major partnership with British World Land Speed Record Team, which is ready to set the new land speed record. In 2016, the team plans to break the 1,600 km/h barrier behind the wheel of the Bloodhound SSC. Until then, the company is getting ready to unveil the Jaguar AWD F-Type at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
The 550-hp F-Type featuring an all-wheel drive configuration was reported to jump to 96 km/h in 3.9 seconds, making it 0.1 sec faster than its rear-wheel drive counterpart. However, its top speed will still be limited to 297 km/h.
Apart from getting ready for the auto show, the company is busy developing an F-Type fitted with a 1.6-litre four-cylinder supercharged and turbocharged engine. We should also expect a more powerful modification carrying a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 tuned to deliver 575 horsepower.
