According to the BMW M project manager, Herbert Bayerl, the BMW X6 M sports SUV lapped the Nordschleife in 8 minutes 5 seconds, which is 20 seconds faster than its predecessor and as fast the previous M3 Coupé.
Moreover, it is 9 seconds faster than the Range Rover Sport SVR, which currently holds the SUV lap record.
As a reminder, the new model carries a 4.4-litre M TwinPower Turbo V8 delivering 575 hp and 750 Nm of torque. It is mated to an eight-speed M Steptronic Launch Control transmission.
The BMW X6 M sprints to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, while its top speed is 250 km/h.
