Audi has completed all its work on the TT Sportback model and unveiled it to the public. It is based on the MQB platform, which is also used in the Audi A3 and its major rival Volkswagen Golf GTI.

The key difference from the “regular” Audi TT is the size — the new model measures 230 mm longer, 60 mm wider, 30 mm higher and has a 120-mm longer wheelbase.

The Audi TT Sportback is fitted with a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged TFSI engine. Noteworthy is the fact that the car features aluminium pistons. The powertrain delivers 400 horsepower. The engine is mated to seven-speed dual-clutch S tronic transmission.
