All-new Corvette C7 has been recently tested by journalists. This time it was AutoBild magazine which conducted detailed performance tests of the new American sports car. The tests traditionally included acceleration and braking dynamics and lap time. One must admit that Stingray was able to show very good lap results but its straight line acceleration did not catch the imagination. On the other hand, one should not forget that it is the most “simple” Corvette modification, Z06 and ZR1 are on their way. Both of them used to show excellent results in their previous modifications both on the straight line and on the lap. Here are a few numbers received during the performance tests:
- Power, torque: 466 hp, 630 Nm
- Weight: 1573 kg
- 0–100 km/h: 4.5 sec
- 0–200 km/h: 15.0 sec
- 1/4 Mile: 12.62 sec
- Top speed: 290 km/h
- Braking (100–0 km/h) with warm brakes: 31.8 m
- Braking (200–0 km/h) with warm brakes: 119.7 m
- Sachsenring lap: 1:35:53 min
