Several different body styles designed around a new modular platform will branch from the new XE.
It was reported by Jaguar XE program director Nick Miller. The company’s best engineers are putting all their effort into developing the new platform iQ[Al], which will use over 75% aluminium content.
This platform is set to underpin the long-wheelbase edition, the coupé and the XE wagon.
The engineers will also come up with a high-performance version of the sedan. It will be fitted with a V8 engine; however, no performance figures are available at the moment.
