In the nearest future, Jaguar Land Rover’s tuning division will build exclusive off-roaders based on the Defender model.
As reported by Autocar, the company considers production of three types of SUVs: luxury, high-performance and all-terrain vehicles. All of them will be based on the Defender.
Noteworthy is the race-spec model, which will be a mixture between the Camel Trophy and Paris-Dakar variants.
Technical details are kept under wraps so far. The only thing we know is that the new models will get a Special Vehicle Operations treatment. As for the legendary Defender, its production will cease next year.
