BMW officially unveils the new M3 (F80) sedan and M4 (F82) coupé. Let us remind that the company had only revealed the technical specifications and the exterior of M4. The powertrain of the new models consists of 6-cylinder 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged engine with around 430 hp and 550 Nm of torque. As stated by BMW representatives, this engine is 8 kg lighter and consumes 25 percent less fuel than the previous atmospheric V8. The customers will be able to choose between 6-speed manual gearbox and seven-speed M DCT double-clutch transmission. 0–100 km/h time for the M DCT transmission is 4.1 seconds and 4.3 seconds for the manual gearbox. Top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.
