BMW is getting ready to introduce long wheelbase versions of its SUVs.
BMW has slightly altered its plans on elongating its SUVs. The company was initially going to fit the X1 and X3 models with the elongated chassis and sell them in the Chinese markets. But then later, it was decided to offer them everywhere and produce a long wheelbase version of the X5. However, the X4 and X6 crossover-coupés were left aside.
The first one to have its debut is the X1 SUV, which will be revealed in 2015. Next will come the X3. The long wheelbase version of the X5 is due only in 2020.
