A race car built on the base of the BMW M6 coupé will make its debut in 2015. This sportcar should be the next step after Z4.
The all-new BMW M6 GT3 will get an uprated 4.4-litre V8 engine, new suspension and gearbox. At the moment, the only version available for sale is the standard M6 fitted with a 4.4-litre turbocharged engine delivering 560 hp. Then again, this version powers its way to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, meaning the race-spec version is definitely not going to be worse than that.
The company wants its race car built on the base of the M6 coupé to enter the championship in 2016. Most probably, its road-going version will also appear in the nearest future. However, all technical specifications are kept under wraps so far.
