The new lightened roadster Mazda MX-5 debuet at the Paris Motor Show. New MX5 has the lowest center of gravity among all generations, and the first MX5 appeared in 1989.
25 years later, the roadster has changed dramatically. Compared with the previous model it became 10mm shorter, 10mm wider and 20mm lower. Engineers managed to reduce weight by 100 kilograms thanks to the new platform.
The car will have two engines to choose: 1.5-litered 140hp engine and 2-litered 180-horsepower engine, working in with 6-speed mechanics or automatic gearbox.
In the car appeared «start-stop» system, automatic climate control, heated seats, Mazda Connect multimedia system with a big screen and a controller placed in the central panel. And for a comfort there is a windscreen and audio speakers in the headrests.
The new Mazda MX-5 roadster will appear in the market in the middle of the summer 2015.
