German car magazine SportAuto conducted performance tests of Corvette C7 Stingray vs. Jaguar XKR-S vs. Porsche 911 Carrera S PDK. The ratings traditionally included straight line acceleration time, brake system tests and lap time. Corvette Stingray became the winner of these tests but it was also noted by SportAuto journalist that Porsche was still the best comfort and sports combination. Jaguar showed best straight line acceleration performance.

Best acceleration thanks to the most powerful engine, limited traction at corner exits. Great tourer for long distances.

On the track the new Stingray is on the same level with the previous Z06 model. Fantastic power-and-performance-to-price ratio. Negativum: the manual gearbox of this pre-production testcar was far from precise.
