Jeep is going to rename its fastest model, the Grand Cherokee SRT. It will be rebadged as the Trackhawk, losing the famous SRT letters.
This spring, the SRT brand returned to Dodge and most probably from now on the sports division label will belong to one company only. However, Jeep does not seem to be upset and is busy choosing a new name for its high-performance SUV.
The Grand Cherokee SRT has been facelifted quite recently and now it is fitted with a 475-hp engine. As reported by the Allpar, Jeep has filed a trademark application for the Trackhawk name. However, no official announcement about rebadging the sports SUV has been made so far.
We should expect to learn more from the company’s representatives who are careful about making any official statements.
