Gallardo was first presented to the world at the 2003 Geneva Auto Show. The very first modification had a 5-litre V10 producing 500 hp under its bonnet. During all those 10 years of production the number of cylinders had not changed — it was still the same high-power atmospheric V10. But eventually the manufacturers switched to 5.2-litre engines.
