Mini Superleggera might hit production

BMW considers putting the Superleggera into production. The Mini roadster was created with the help of the Italian tuning studio Touring Superleggera.

The fate of the handmade conceptual roadster will be determined within the next six months. Its performance figures are still unknown, except for the fact that the concept car is fitted with an electric powertrain.

The company is now considering all variants of the new model’s perspectives and also the possibility of reselling the project.

Well, one of the auto group’s board members Peter Schwarzenbauer, responsible for the Mini and Rolls-Royce brands, still cannot define the company’s plans: “I think, slightly on the emotional side, that concentrating on five superheroes has a great appeal to me”. Obviously, all details are scant at the moment.
