Nismo — motorsports and performance division of Nissan — presented the most “loaded” version of GT-R supercar. Yet another reincarnation of one of the most popular sport cars is now producing 595 hp. The torque of the 3.8-litre V-6 engine was increased up to 650 Nm. However there is still no information whether the engineers from Nismo had managed to improve more common characteristics such as top speed and acceleration dynamics. Formerly reported specifications included 0 to 100 km/h acceleration within 2 sec versus 2.8 sec achieved by the cars of the current generation. However the Japanese engineers compensated lack of such data by the news from Nürburgring. Nissan GT-R Nismo set 7 min 08.69 sec Nordschleife lap timing which is 10 seconds better than its previous result — 7:19.
Apart from the super-charged engine, GT-R is fitted with stiffer springs, new anti-roll bars and new damper adjustments. Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT 600 DSST grippy front tires offer better traction of the front axle with the surface. A special aerodynamic body kit minimises the drag and decreases the upforce at high speed. Also available is the optional package with carbon fibre body kit (65 kg cut in weight) and adjustable Ohlins dampers.
Nissan GT-R Nismo will be first presented during the Tokyo Motor Show. Price for the US market is expected to be around $200,000 (more than RUR 6.5 million). A regular GT-R has a price tag of RUR 4.5 million in Russia.
