New Mazda’s flagship coupé is due to arrive in 2020. To celebrate the company’s 100th anniversary, it was decided to launch production of a new Mazda coupé, which should become the new flagship two-door vehicle. It will make its debut in Tokyo.

While nothing is official, the model is likely to produce at least 450 hp. According to some speculations, the new model might carry a rotary engine or even a hybrid powerplant.

As previously reported, a rotary-engined sports coupé delivering 455 hp is due to arrive in 2017 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Mazda Cosmo Sport, Mazda's first rotary-powered car.

It’s still a secret, how the company plans to separate these two new models. Unfortunately, all other details are scant at the moment; however, Mazda still have 6 more years to “marinade” the marque’s fans in a proper way.
